Our Zoo Trip ~ Spring Came Early

McKenzie is taking pictures with her "camera"...Kylie is trying to figure out why daddy is making her smile :)

Aren't zebras just the coolest creation God made? :) Neato stripes on horses that do not sound like horses, just as an FYI :)

We were walking along...Kylie wanted nothing to do with the stroller since she has learned to walk. McKenzie's dog is now an honorary member of our family. She takes him everywhere! His name is Lukie (yes...just like our kitty). It's the best $2.00 I have ever spent at Goodwill :)

This was the best! Monkeys loving on each other....If only I could get Rob to rub my back as long as this monkey worked on his lady :)

Me and Kylie posing by the camels...we have to work on some of her camera skills :)

So, I knew this past Tuesday would be a warm day...I am a known forecast lurker. When I saw temperatures were going to reach 63 degrees, I convinced Rob (though it didn't take much) to take 1/2 a day off of work on Tuesday so that we could all go to the zoo as a family. We have a membership that is good for one year and it's 63 bucks. Let me tell you, it's the best 63 bucks you'll ever spend. Unlimited trips to a place McKenzie never gets tired of visiting. It's awesome!!! :)

So...we headed there and had a great time! There are many pictures attached for your enjoyment. The week was a crazy one that is for sure! Our neighbor's 17 year old daughter crashed her car on I-75 that night. I went over to spend time with the family, and to help make sure everything was OK. She was saved by God's grace and came out with only scratches (apparently you'd never believe it if you saw her car). Amazing! Then, on Thursday, my car broke on the highway on the way home from Meijer. I called Rob at work since the tow truck couldn't exactly take 2 car seats (nor do I trust a tow truck driver to drive me and my girls) back to our house. So, Rob came and we switched the careats. Almost $500 later (including towing), I have a new "sensor"...isn't it always a sensor? And some throttle thingy. Rob also went to the dentist that night and got a crown, but we don't have the "best" dental insurance, so it cost us about $400 for that! Wowsers! I was pretty stressed and wasn't having a great day. Today, however, I woke up with a cold, as well as Kylie, and McKenzie has a pretty bad cough. We are all out of comission for much of the day. In fact, for the first time in memory, all three of us laid down at the same time and took nearly a 3 HOUR NAP! It was wonderful and sooooo what I needed.

Other than that, life has been pretty much as normal as normal can be. Still trying to plan something special for McKenzie's 3rd birthday party, but kind of running out of time, I know! She is still loving dinosaurs and Kylie has begun to walk! It's amazing and wonderful and I love this stage of life.

Well...it's almost time for me to logoff online with Tutor.com and I want to get these pics posted before I do, so I will hopefully write more soon! Thanks for reading :)
