Our Zoo Trip ~ Spring Came Early ~ Pictures Continued!
Our Zoo Trip ~ Spring Came Early
So, I knew this past Tuesday would be a warm day...I am a known forecast lurker. When I saw temperatures were going to reach 63 degrees, I convinced Rob (though it didn't take much) to take 1/2 a day off of work on Tuesday so that we could all go to the zoo as a family. We have a membership that is good for one year and it's 63 bucks. Let me tell you, it's the best 63 bucks you'll ever spend. Unlimited trips to a place McKenzie never gets tired of visiting. It's awesome!!! :)
So...we headed there and had a great time! There are many pictures attached for your enjoyment. The week was a crazy one that is for sure! Our neighbor's 17 year old daughter crashed her car on I-75 that night. I went over to spend time with the family, and to help make sure everything was OK. She was saved by God's grace and came out with only scratches (apparently you'd never believe it if you saw her car). Amazing! Then, on Thursday, my car broke on the highway on the way home from Meijer. I called Rob at work since the tow truck couldn't exactly take 2 car seats (nor do I trust a tow truck driver to drive me and my girls) back to our house. So, Rob came and we switched the careats. Almost $500 later (including towing), I have a new "sensor"...isn't it always a sensor? And some throttle thingy. Rob also went to the dentist that night and got a crown, but we don't have the "best" dental insurance, so it cost us about $400 for that! Wowsers! I was pretty stressed and wasn't having a great day. Today, however, I woke up with a cold, as well as Kylie, and McKenzie has a pretty bad cough. We are all out of comission for much of the day. In fact, for the first time in memory, all three of us laid down at the same time and took nearly a 3 HOUR NAP! It was wonderful and sooooo what I needed.
Other than that, life has been pretty much as normal as normal can be. Still trying to plan something special for McKenzie's 3rd birthday party, but kind of running out of time, I know! She is still loving dinosaurs and Kylie has begun to walk! It's amazing and wonderful and I love this stage of life.
Well...it's almost time for me to logoff online with Tutor.com and I want to get these pics posted before I do, so I will hopefully write more soon! Thanks for reading :)

The Girlies......
My almost 3 year old...*sniffle*
Daddy installed swings in our basement so we didn't have to wait until Spring! :)Hey our loyal readers :)
I know everyone has been wondering where we've been.... :)
It's been a good couple of weeks. It has been very busy, too. Lots of playdates....fun stuff! The girls are growing so quickly! Just tonight, Rob, McKenize and I were watching old videos from when McKenzie was 17 months old. So cute! Where has the time gone? That's craziness! She is now a thriving almost 3 year old (in about 6 weeks!) and in the past few weeks, she has really started to blossom into a fun personality...I mean really fun. This girl is hilarious. She talks like a real person..."Excuse me, mom." "Mom, hang on...I have a question." "Mom....when they get married, are they going to have a baby like you did?" She's so awesome! :) She is well over 3 feet tall now and she just got a new pair of shoes today. They are size 9!!!!!!!!!! She has outgrown her "toddler convertible" carseat, but with the law restrictions now, she is supposed to be in a 5-point harness until 40 pounds/4 years old. Well....that ain't going to happen. Not that she's "big" or "overweight", but she's just tall and outgrowing it. I had to upgrade to a different seat --- it's harness system goes to 60 pounds. That's more like it!!!
Kylie is learning to walk!!!!!!! She is getting so good at it :) She took about 3 steps today MANY different times! I can't believe she's growing up so fast either. We're still working on that sleeping through the night thing, but we'll get there :) She is babbling more and occassionally, she'll say "Mama", though "Dada" is way more popular :) She eats so well (sometimes more than McKenzie!) The girls are learning to play together and we'll have to upload some video here sometime. Rob showed me once, but I don't remember how to do it :)
Things are going well for us otherwise. We are doing great as a family and loving life. We are planning a time for McKenzie's 3rd birthday party with her friends, but not quite sure what direction we will take yet, seeing as how her birthday falls on Easter this year. :) I'll have to think about that. So...here are a few pics. Enjoy!
